The half-year figure also included the estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores that was shown as an exceptional item.
Apollo said its Indian Operations sustained strong revenue growth into the second quarter, which the company said reflected the effectiveness of its growth initiatives.
Management view
Chairman Onkar Kanwar attributed growth across categories in India to sustained rural expansion and the company's strategic association with cricket. He also said new commercial vehicle products launched in India had strengthened performance in the past quarter. Kanwar added that geopolitical tensions in West Asia remained a headwind, leading to elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions. The statement linked the Indian growth to rural expansion and cricket, while identifying new commercial vehicle products as a factor in the quarter's performance and describing West Asia tensions as a continuing external pressure.
CFO appointment
The board approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as group head of finance and has worked in budgeting, accounts and investor relations; more recently, he took on additional responsibility for legal matters.
