  • The integration puts more than 850 BP Pulse charging points at over 95 North American locations onto a platform used by third-party e-mobility providers and automakers.
  • BP Pulse has connected more than 850 charging points at over 95 locations to ChargeHub's Passport Hub, letting drivers find, access and pay for charging through the ChargeHub app and other connected platforms. The companies did not say how many of the points are rapid or ultra-rapid chargers, or whether every Passport Hub partner can reach all of them.

BP Pulse has joined ChargeHub's Passport Hub roaming platform, bringing more than 850 charging points at over 95 locations into the North American roaming network. The two companies announced the integration without releasing further figures.

Under the arrangement, EV drivers can find, access and pay for charging at BP Pulse sites through the ChargeHub app. The same sites also become available to users of other e-mobility service providers and automakers connected to Passport Hub, so access extends beyond ChargeHub's own customer base.

Passport Hub is ChargeHub's roaming platform, which links charging networks with mobility service providers and vehicle manufacturers. It is designed to simplify access to public charging by letting drivers use apps and services they already have across several networks, instead of registering separately with each charge point operator.

For BP Pulse, the agreement widens the reach of its North American charging infrastructure by making it available through a broader set of third-party platforms. ChargeHub, in turn, adds another network to its roaming ecosystem. The announcement concerns access and payment rather than new construction, and no additional charging sites were disclosed.

Several details remain open. Neither company said how many of the 850-plus points are rapid or ultra-rapid chargers, or whether all of them can be reached through every Passport Hub partner. The number of charging points and locations were the only figures released.

Sujay Sharma, BP Pulse's vice president of EV charging in the US, said the partnership expands access to the BP Pulse network through trusted roaming partners. He added that charging networks working better together benefits the entire EV ecosystem and called it an important step toward accelerating EV adoption.

Simon Ouellette, CEO of ChargeHub, said a network such as BP Pulse choosing to connect through Passport Hub is a strong signal that the hub model has become the way roaming gets done in North America. Because it is a hub, he said, the impact goes beyond the ChargeHub app: the eMSPs and automakers in the ecosystem can offer their drivers access to BP Pulse charging through connections they already have.
