  • The Bedfordshire packaging distributor takes the group name used across 19 European markets and adds a free planning tool for peak-season packing costs.
  • Rajapack UK has renamed itself RAJA UK to match the brand its parent group uses across Europe, with the managing director saying staff, product range and next-day service are unchanged. The rebrand comes alongside a free Prepare for Peak tool that gives businesses an illustrative estimate of packing costs in the weeks before Black Friday on 27 November.

Rajapack UK, the Bedfordshire-based packaging distributor, has changed its name to RAJA UK, bringing the British business into line with the brand its parent group uses across Europe.

The supplier says it serves more than 43,000 UK businesses and has supplied the UK market since 1998. It belongs to the RAJA Group, founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher, whose first names gave the company its name.

According to the company, trading under the group name gives customers one recognisable brand across the 19 European countries the group serves.

Same people, range and service, managing director says

Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, described the change as one of name rather than substance. “Our name has changed, but what customers rely on hasn’t: the same people, the same range and the same next-day service,” he said.

He added that with peak trading only weeks away, the business had also sought to make seasonal planning easier through a free tool that puts a figure on what the busiest weeks will cost.

Free tool estimates peak packing costs

The Prepare for Peak tool is intended to help businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation, and what they could save, ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.

Users choose their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak, based on benchmarks that blend Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. They then enter their own figures, such as parcels handled per day and the number of people packing.

The company said the tool provides an illustrative estimate rather than a quotation.
